A car caught fire by a major roundabout on the A14 on the outskirts of Felixstowe.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway, towards Ipswich, near to the Dock Spur roundabout shortly after 1.20pm on Wednesday.
Two Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service engines from Ipswich East and Felixstowe stations were dispatched to the scene.
According to the fire service, crew members used a hose reel to put the fire out.
Pictures taken from the scene showed the sliver car engulfed in flames as it was parked in a layby.
A stop was message was sent by the fire service at 1.46pm.
