A celebrity chef will be hosting a one-off Greek-inspired night at a Suffolk café.

Maria Elia will be visiting Nourish Café in Woodbridge on Friday, May 24, where she will be cooking her Greek-inspired menu.

The chef has made numerous appearance on popular cooking shows Great Food Live, Saturday Cooks, Ready Steady Cook and Market Kitchen and has written three recipe books.

The event will start at 7pm. Visitors will receive welcome refreshments and snacks before the three-course meal.

The starter will be cured trout, hodmedod’s olive green lentils, orange, fennel, pul biber, and pistachio salad, with smoked Hillfarm oil.

The main course will be Lamb Mastelo, which is slow-braised lamb with dill and wine accompanied with bowls of briam, Greek salad and maroulosalata.

Vegetarian options are available.

For dessert there will be strawberry rose and baklava nut ekmek kataifi, a crisp shredded filo pasty base drizzled with rose syrup and topped with creamy custard, strawberries, and roasted nuts.

Tickets cost £50 per person and attendees will be able to bring their own alcohol to the event for a small corkage fee.

The cafe recently announced it will be starting a supper club after celebrating its fifth birthday.
