More than 90 artists and craft makers are set to participate in an art extravaganza along a Suffolk seafront this autumn.

The Art on the Prom event will be returning to Felixstowe promenade on Sunday, September 1 when the seafront location will be festooned with artworks from the pier to the Spa Pavilion theatre gardens.

The town's promenade will be lined with paintings and drawings and stalls with craftwork.

Last year, the event was held as part of the Love Felixstowe Festival, having been away for four years.

Visitors can attend for free and the exhibition will be open to the public from 10am until 4.30pm.

Kate Cain, manager of Felixstowe Business Improvement District (BID), which represents 280 businesses, said: "We were delighted to have Iona Hodgson and Nichola Adams and Daisy Lees bringing back Art On The Prom after a three year hiatus last year.

"The event had to grow and the team pulled off a fantastic day, attracting crowds to the town.

"This year, we are hoping to see further growth, whilst keeping the community appeal that makes it one of Felixstowe’s busiest days of the year.

"It’s great for the town, perhaps we can look to include the town centre with a complimentary event this summer too.

"Also set to return is Love Felixstowe Festival the following weekend on Saturday September 7.

"Mindful of our environmental responsibilities, this year’s festival will be boasting many sustainability initiatives and is to be branded 'Love Green Felixstowe’ Festival.
